VINTAGE SEATTLE SLEW BUMPER STICKER, circa 1977-1978, from the estate of noted bluegrass Thoroughbred photographer John Noye, who was a principal photographer for the Thoroughbred Record.  I purchased this RARE sticker during the 2005 posthumous exhibit & estate sale of the Noye’s work, held at Clark Art & Antiques, Lexington, KY. After some research here in KY with the webmaster of SeattleSlew.com, I believe this bumper sticker was produced by the Taylors during the “Slewmania” era, circa 1977-1978.  The printing shows a Registered Copyright symbol after the words SEATTLE SLEW.

Champion Seattle Slew dominated American racing in 1977, winning the Kentucky Derby, & going on to take the Triple Crown & Eclipse Award honors. He was a major rival of 1978 Triple Crown winner Affirmed, & remains one of Thoroughbred racing’s best-loved heroes & legends. This vintage Seattle Slew bumper sticker is a wonderful addition to any Thoroughbred racing memorabilia collection & makes a fun gift for race track fans or horse lovers. This vintage Slew bumper sticker is definitely the type of memorabilia that deserves to be framed archivally & enjoyed.
