*Ribot print, Champion Racehorse by James Walls

* Ribot (1952-1972) is rated by many as amongst the finest of post-war European flat racehorses.
He was bred by Italy’s leading horseman, Federico Tesio. Fiery on the racetrack, Ribot won 16 races in16 starts, including two victories in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. A Century of Champions, by Randall & Morris, rated Ribot the #3 horse for the 20th Century, behind only Sea-Bird and Secretariat.

Albatross print by James Walls. Black & white,
22″ x 29″ print, signed, numbered, ltd. edition print. This is a very accurate depiction of two time Horse of the Year Albatross, with Stanley Dancer at the Red Mile. Albatross won 25 of 28 starts, and later sired two time Horse of the Year, Niatross, who is the sire of Nihilator. Extremely rare print-few were ever in circulation. This print has averaged $1575 the two times it has appeared in HTA auctions.  $925

Palenske:    Black & white classic head study of the famous “Trotter of the century”, winner of the 1935 Hambletonian, set a World’s Record for Three year old Trotting gelding. Lexington Junior League Horse Show 2005 poster

The Lexington Junior League Horse Show, held on the historic Red Mile racetrack, is the first of the American Saddlebred’s Triple Crown shows. The Junior League posters with realistic artwork often sell out during the show & have become very collectible.  I believe this dynamic gaited horse art depicts Terri Chancellor on The Phoenix, & the other rider may be Mary Gaylord (email me if you have more correct info!) This is a wonderful piece of memorabilia for any Saddlebred lover’s collection, or an exciting horse gift for gaited horse fans.
