This print of Handicap Champion Stymie is my favorite by Milton Menasco. He has captured perfectly the character of this great Thoroughbred racehorse.  It was the first print I purchased for my home when I moved Kentucky years ago.  Stymie had a long rivalry with Triple Crown winner Assault.

The Lexington Junior League Horse Show, held on the historic Red Mile racetrack, is the first of the American Saddlebred’s Triple Crown shows. The Junior League posters with realistic artwork often sell out during the show & have become very collectible.  I believe this dynamic gaited horse art depicts Terri Chancellor on The Phoenix, & the other rider may be Mary Gaylord (email me if you have more correct info!)
